Adelaide Duarte

Adelaide (Nunes) Duarte, 90, of Somerset, died Saturday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Filipe R. Duarte.
Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Teolinda (Bello) Nunes; she lived most of his life in Somerset and was a communicant of St. John of God Church. Mrs. Duarte worked for many years as a sewing machine operator in the local garment industry.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Pinheiro and her husband Carlos of Somerset; a sister, Bella Henriques of Somerset; a granddaughter, Melissa Pinheiro Schlitzer of Somerset; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Antonio P. Nunes, Manuel Nunes, Edward Nunes and Mary Nunes.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:45 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia Street, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. John of God Church, Somerset. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation morning of funeral from 8:30-10:15 a.m. www.oliveirafuneralhomes.com
