Alice Cordeiro

Alice (Linhares) Cordeiro, 89, of Tiverton, RI, a retired assembler, died Wednesday at the Grand Islander in Middletown. She was the wife of the late John Cordeiro.

Born in and a lifelong resident of Tiverton, RI, she was a daughter of the late John C. and Mary (Ferreira) Linhares; she was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church. Mrs. Cordeiro worked at Westrex-Litton Industries and at the former Darwood Mfg.

She is survived by two brothers, James L. Linhares (wife Barbara) of Tiverton and Frank Linhares of Portsmouth, RI; a niece and several nephews.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Judson St., Tiverton. Interment in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton. Calling hours Sunday 5-8 p.m.
