Altino Manuel Oliveira

Altino Manuel Oliveira, 76, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River.

    He was the widower of Maria DeJesus (Furtado) Oliveira.

    Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel de Oliveira and Maria Jose De Sousa.

    Altino was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent most of his time devoted to his work. He worked many years for Joan Fabrics and Main Street Textiles for over 20 years until its closing. He also previously worked at Princess House and a silver plating company. In his free time, he enjoyed yard work and tinkering around the house, always finding projects to keep himself busy and his home well-maintained.

    He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Flaherty and her husband Edward; his son, Steven Oliveira and his wife Dawn; his grandchildren Nathan Oliveira and Hannah Oliveira; his siblings Deolinda Oliveira Martins, Maria de Conceicao Oliveira Massa, Mercedes Oliveira Cordeiro, Jose De Sousa Oliveira, Maria Laura Oliveira Melo, Maria Aldina Oliveira Frizado, and Gil De Sousa Oliveira; and many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings Maria De Luz Oliveira Morgado and Joao De Sousa Oliveira.

    A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 9 am - 10 am, at the Oliveira Funeral Home - South Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main St, Fall River, followed by a funeral prayers at 10 am. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
