Alzira T. Botelho

Alzira T. (Sousa) Botelho, 71, of June St., Fall River, a homemaker, died Friday at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of Jose Botelho.

Born in Calhetas, St. Michael, Azores; she was a daughter of the Francisco and Maria (Tavares) Sousa; she lived in Fall River for the past 36 years and was a member of Santo Christo Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Martha Viveiros of Swansea, Anna Cordeiro, Lina Martel and Nelia Botelho, all of Fall River; five sons, Octavio Botelho, Eduardo J. Botelho, Luciano Botelho, Robert Botelho and David Botelho, all of Fall River; a sister, Maria Anjos Sousa of the Azores; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Luciano Botelho and the sister of the late Jose Sousa and Luis Sousa.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 5-8 p.m.
