Antoinette B. "Ann" (Kowalski) Floyd

FALL RIVER… Antoinette B. "Ann" (Kowalski) Floyd, 95, of Fall River passed away October 13, 2015 at Kimwell Nursing Home.
Born in Fall River, she was wife of the late Murl A. Floyd and daughter of the late John and Barbara (Roman) Kowalski.
Mrs. Floyd was a veteran on the United States Navy, serving in the WAVES during WWII where she earned the American Campaign Medal. She was assigned to the Chief of the Bureau of Naval Personnel in Washington, D.C. and later transferred for duty at the Port Director's Office, 3rd Naval District where she worked in Manhattan on Whitehall Street. During her time in Manhattan, she facilitated naval movements throughout the world. She was active in the Boy Scout Women's Auxiliary and Cub Scout Auxiliary.
Ann is survived by her son, Robert K. Floyd and his lifemate Linda B. Emerson of Southampton, MA. She was sister of the late John Kowalski, Stanley Kowalski, Fran Longchamps, Lena Sepanik, Helen Wittinger, Genevieve Wittinger and Eleanor Fitzpatrick.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday at 11 AM at Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum, Stafford Rd. Fall River. Arrangements are entrusted to Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA.
