Antone Cordeiro, Jr.

Antone Cordeiro Jr., 96, of Borden St., Westport, MA, formerly of Wareham, a retired garment worker, died Saturday at Southpointe Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Wanda (Pitera) Cordeiro.

Born in Fall River, MA, a son of the late Antone and Conceicao (Cabral) Cordeiro; he lived in Westport for the past 10 years having lived previously in Wareham. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during WW II. Mr. Cordeiro worked for many years as a garment cutter at College Town Mfg.

He is survived by a daughter, Wanda Ferreira of No. Darthmouth, MA; three sons, Lawrence Cordeiro of Branford, CT, Antone Cordeiro of Mattapoisett, MA and Joseph Cordeiro of Fall River; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
