Antonia Ferreira

Antonia Gonçalves Ferreira, 87, of Fall River, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her devoted family on June 23, 2026. In her passing, she joins her beloved husband, Floriano Ferreira.

    Born in Lisbon, Portugal, Antonia was the daughter of the late Cristina Almeida Gonçalves and Graçiano Gonçalves. She was the sister of Natalina Marques.

    Antonia dedicated many years of hard work to the Shelburn Shirt Company. A woman of profound faith, she was deeply devoted to Jesus Christ and was an active member of Waters Church. She enjoyed crocheting, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and loved ones.

    Antonia leaves behind her loving children, Caroline Pereira and husband, Moses Pereira, and Nelson Ferreira and wife, Clara Ferreira.

    She remains a beloved grandmother to Joshua Pereira and his wife, Sandy; Nathan Ferreira and his wife, Amanda; Rebecca Nordeste and her husband, John; Nicholas Ferreira and his fiancé, Aiden; Cristina Martins and her husband, Tyler; Noah Ferreira and girlfriend Ashley and Catarina Ferreira. She was also the beloved great-grandmother of Jax Nordeste, Oliver Martins, Amelia Pereira, Elijah Nordeste, Violet Ferreira, and Eloise Martins.

    Her life was enriched by an extensive family, including many nieces, nephews, and godchildren, all of whom held a special place in her heart. She was known affectionately as "Vavó" not only to her family but also to her cherished church family. 

    Family and friends are invited to celebrate Antonia's life at Oliveira Funeral Homes - South Main Street Chapel.

    Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 4 to 7 pm.

    A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 10 am at the funeral home, followed by a service in the funeral home at 11 am. Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery.

    Antonia's unwavering faith, kindness, and devotion to her family will be remembered always and cherished by all who were blessed to know and love her.
