Antonio C. Coelho

Antonio C. Coelho, 59, of Fall River, died Sunday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Teresa (Paiva) Coelho. Born in Sao Antonio alem Capelas, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Antonio and Julieta (Pereira) Coelho. He worked as a painter for the former American Dryer and at the Newport Shipyard.

Mr. Coelho was always willing to help the needy; often known for giving people. food and shelter.

He is survived by two sons, Antonio A. Coelho (wife Carolyn) and David Coelho (fiancé Kaitlin); a sister, Carmen M. Martins (husband Joseph)of Fall River; a half sister, Vanda Pereira (husband Joe); a half brother, Nuno Cunha (wife Kristen) of New Bedford; a grandson, Anthony Coehlo; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in Espirito Santo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours Tuesday 6-9 p.m.
