Antonio Corvello, 99, of Fall River, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Mill Brook Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, in Fall River.
He was the widower of the late Diamantina (Botelho) Corvelo, to whom he had been married for 73 years.
Born in Fall River, Mr. Corvello was a son of the late John Corvello and Celia (Souza) Corvello, and had been a lifelong resident of the city.
Antonio was a U.S. Navy veteran who served his country in the Pacific during World War II. Following his military service, he dedicated the majority of his career to the local textile industry, working at Bourne Mill, Rivers Edge Printers and Capri Textiles. A devoted family man and a man of deep faith, Antonio was a parishioner of Good Shepherd Parish and was also a member of the Holy Name Society at the former Our Lady of Angels Church.
Survivors include his sons Alfred Corvello, of East Taunton, and David Corvello, of Swansea; his daughter Cynthia Borges, of Fall River; his sister Evelyn Dorsey, of Florida; 8 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings John, Deolinda, and Irene.
A visitation will be held Friday, May 16, 2025, from 9 - 11 AM at the Oliveira Funeral Home - South Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main St., Fall River.
His Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM at Good Shepherd Church, South Main St., Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Antonio's name to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (https://dana-farber.org), the Jimmy Fund (https://www.jimmyfund.org), or a charity of your choice.
