Antonio J. Resendes

FALL RIVER… Antonio J. Resendes, 82, of Fall River passed away July 6, 2018 at his home.
He was the widower of Maria C. (Andrade) Resendes.
Born in Livramento, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Antonio J. and Maria (Estrella) Resendes.
Mr. Resendes was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church, Fall River and had worked for 23 years as a Laborer at T.P.I. in Warren, RI. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, working with his hands and above all spending time with his family.
Survivors include his daughters: Maria Pereira and her husband Jose of Fall River and Ana Pereira and her husband Carlos of Fall River; his son: Mario Resendes and his wife Theresa of Somerset; his sisters: Maria C. Ferreira of St. Michael, Azores, Angelina Ferreira of Fall River and Maria Moniz of Canada; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Joao, Humberto and Jose Joaquim Resendes.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 9 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Michael’s Church, 189 Essex St. Fall River, MA. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 – 8 PM.
