Barbara Garant

Barbara (Roias) Garant, 74, of Tiverton, died Friday at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of Wilfred J. Garant, Jr.

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Borges) Roias, she resided in Tiverton for the past 54 years.

Mrs. Garant was a homemaker and a member of St. Theresa Church.

Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Charlene Andrade of Tiverton; a son, Joseph Andrade of Tiverton; 4 grandchildren, Jett Rancourt, Jason W. Medeiros, Anthony Concepcion and Joey Andrade, Jr. and a great-granddaughter, Jaylyn Rancourt.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home 2064 South Main St. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Theresa Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
