Belmira (Almas) Teixeira

FALL RIVER… Belmira (Almas) Teixeira, 97, of Fall River passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Kimwell Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was the wife of the late Manuel Teixeira to whom she was married for 40 years before his passing.
Born in Tiverton, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Gloria (Almas) Medeiros.
Mrs. Teixeira was a communicant of the former Our Lady of the Angels Church in Fall River. She worked as a seamstress at various mills throughout the area prior to her retirement in the mid 1960's.
Survivors include 2 sons: Richard Teixeira of Fall River and David Teixeira and is wife Barbara of East Providence, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, several nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Raymond Teixeira and sister of 9 brothers and 3 sisters which have all pre deceased her.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday, Oct. 24, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River. Calling hours will be held Monday from 5-7 PM, prior to the service. Burial will be private.
