Bernadette M. (Reail) De Amaral

FALL RIVER… Bernadette M. (Reail) De Amaral, 85, of Fall River passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023, at St. Anne’s Hospital, surrounded by her family.

She was the widow of the late Manuel De Amaral.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Harold Reail and Yvonne (Chouinard) Reail.

Prior to retiring, Bernadette worked for most of her career as a seamstress and later on worked for Meals on Wheels, after retiring. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church and a member of the International Ladies Garment Worker’s Union. She was an animal lover and enjoyed taking care of her cats. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter Anne Marie De Amaral, of Fall River, and her grandchildren: Michael Wagner, Eric De Amaral, Aria Hanson, and Dante Branco.

A visitation will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 8:00 - 9:30 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home – South Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main St. Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Parish, Stafford Rd., Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
