Betty L. (Medeiros) Williams, 78, of Hancock St., Tiverton, formerly of Main Rd., a retired bus driver for many years, died Thursday, July 14th at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of the late William A. "Bill" Williams.
Born in Providence, RI, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Marion (Kilroy) Medeiros; she lived most of her life in Tiverton.
Mrs. Williams worked for Head Start New Visions in Newport and E.T. Michael's Bus Co. in Tiverton.
She enjoyed bingo, watching westerns and episodes of the Waltons TV Series.
She is survived by two daughters, Luanne Cartin of Hyannis and Michelle Kazen and her companion Richard Forcier of Tiverton; a brother, William Medeiros and his wife Carol of Riverside, RI; three grandchildren, Alisha, John and Shane; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Mary Lou Williams and sister of the late Carlos Medeiros and Barbara Guerra.
