Carlotta M. Souza

Carlotta M. Souza, 42, of 850 Pleasant St., New Bedford, MA, died Tuesday at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

Born in Fall River, MA, a daughter of Peter Souza of Tiverton and Donna (Zitano) Leroux (partner Candido) of Fall River; she lived most of her life in New Bedford.

Besides her parents, she is survived by a brother, Maj. Peter P. Souza, Air National Guard of Fall River; a step-sister, Magan Alonso of Fall River; a uncle, Joseph E. Rodrigues (wife Patricia) of Warren; her aunt and godmother, Debra G. Zitano of Warwick, RI; three nephews, Jared A. Souza, Justin J. Souza and Chad Zitano; a step-niece, Rylee Cosgroves of Fall River; and several cousins.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by Committal Prayers at 10 a.m. in Notre Dame Cemetery Chapel. Calling hours Friday 4-7 p.m. at the South Main St. location.
