Charles Manuel Diogenes, 62, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence Rhode Island after a short illness.
He was Born August 24, 1963, in Fall River Massachusetts to Manuel “Jinx” and Madeleine Diogenes.
Charlie was the IT Director for Healthfirst family health center in Fall River Massachusetts, prior to that he was the senior telecommunications manager at the Steward healthcare group. He was the President of the local car club (Bristol County Car Club). Charlies’ idea of having a good time was hanging on his boat with his good friends just fishing & having conversation, or driving around in his 1981 Pontiac Trans AM, going to car shows & taking pictures of all the cars & spectators.
Charlie was a dedicated son, brother, uncle, great uncle, & friend. Charlie was the friend that you were lucky to know, he was loved by everyone that knew him, he will be dearly missed. There was no bigger Patriots fan in New England than Charlie, if he was watching a game, you could hear him from blocks away screaming when the Pats scored a touchdown. Charlie grew up in Tiverton Rhode Island, graduating from Tiverton High school in 1982, he moved to Fall River in his late teenage years until buying a home and settling in Somerset Massachusetts in 2012.
Charlie is survived by his mother, Madeleine (Arruda) Diogenes; his sister Monica Kelly and husband Donald; his nephew Raymond Dunlea and wife Vania; his niece Andrea Dunlea; his great nephew Cameron Medeiros; his great nieces Olivia and Noelle Dunlea and Serenity Coyle. He is preceded in death by his father Manuel Diogenes.
A visitation will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 9 - 11 AM at the Oliveira Funeral Home, South Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main St. in Fall River, followed by funeral prayers in the funeral home at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.
