Claudia M. Beirola

Claudia M. (Maynard) Beirola, 81, of Tiverton, RI, died Saturday at home. She was the wife of the late Henry E. Beirola.
Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph H. and Mary (Medeiros) Maynard; she lived most of her life in Tiverton. Mrs. Beirola worked as a seamstress for many years in the local garment industry and was a homemaker. She was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Rose M. Tavares (companion Manuel DaPonte) of Fall River; a son, Henry M. Beirola of Tiverton; a sister, Agnes Leduc of Fall River; three brothers, Raymond Maynard, Richard Maynard and Robert Maynard, all of Fall River; two grandchildren, Stacy Resendes (husband Manuel) and Joseph Tavares; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lorraine Beland, Helen Mellor, Pearl Maynard, Joseph Maynard, Richard Maynard, Paul Maynard, Floyd David Maynard, Edward Maynard and George Maynard.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton. Interment in Pocasset Hill Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Southcoast Visiting Nurse Association/Hospice, 200 Mill Rd., Fairhaven, MA 02719.
