Clemente Oliveira Farias

Clemente Oliveira Farias, 76, of Swansea, passed away Friday, June 20, 2025, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, in Fall River.

    He was the loving husband of Fernanda (Da Silva) Farias.

    Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Joaoquim Farias and Noemia (Oliveira) Farias.

    Prior to retiring, Clemente dedicated most of his career to the boat building industry, working at TPI and later at Gladding-Hearn. He proudly served in the Portuguese Army and was a devoted parishioner of Saint John of God Parish. Above all, Clemente cherished the time he spent with his beloved family.

    He is survived by his son Eric Farias and his wife Chrissy; his daughter Jessica Columbus; his grandchildren Alyssa, Kyle, Avery, and Cameron; several brothers and sisters; many nieces and nephews.

    A visitation will be held Sunday night, June 29, from 5 - 8  PM at the Oliveira Funeral Home - South Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main St., Fall River.

    His funeral will follow the next day, Monday June 30, at 9 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass, at 10 AM, at St John of God Church, Somerset. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
