Denise Caron of Bristol, RI passed away peacefully on October 14, 2026, with her daughter, Lia by her side.
"Dee", "Mom", "Grandma" was born on December 15, 1950, on Meadow Street in Fall River, MA from where she shared so many childhood memories that she would talk about often. She was the daughter of the late Joseph N. Caron, Sr. and Louise C. (Moreau) Caron.
Educated in the Catholic school system, she graduated from the Sacred Heart Academy in 1968. She was self-employed for many years as the owner/operator of Q.A.S. Insulation, where she created life-long friendships with many of her employees and customers.
She was the most selfless person and would always put others before herself. She loved having her friends and family around, going for walks, traveling, playing high-stakes Pai Gow poker, cribbage, bowling and bocce. She loved the water and enjoyed fishing or just going for a boat ride. She had a passion for making people feel loved and welcomed. Whether it be offering a ride, sending a card, giving hugs or doing a whirlwind cleaning at your house, because she hated to be idle.
She loved being everyone's biggest fan, especially for Lia's games. Whether it was a home or away game, she was there cheering not only Lia on but everyone else on the team. She became the team mom for each sport. She showed up for all her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and friends of friends' games, tournaments or shows. She just loved to support whoever she could. It was truly a testament to who she was.
She will be sadly missed by all who loved her, especially her daughter, Lia and Son in Law, Joseph Levesque, her son, Benjamin (Lisa) Benevides, her grandchildren; Michael Medeiros, Sara, Branden and Alex Benevides, Joseph, Michael and Christopher Levesque, her longtime cherished friends; Barbara and Chris Brassil, Pauline and Edmond Levesque and Joan and Paul Oliveira and her bonus daughters who she treated as her own. They would visit her, call her, take her for rides, go shopping, go out to eat, fix her many phone/computer issues, among so many other things that she was beyond grateful for; Jennifer Estrella, Nicole Dame, Sunhe Fusco, Robyn Perry, Trish Blankenship and Robin Abrahmson.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Louise (Moreau) Caron, her sisters, Doris Caron and Elaine Rodgers and her brother, Gerald "Jerry" Caron.
Calling hours will be October 20, 2026, beginning at 8:00am at Oliveira Funeral Home on South Main Street in Fall River, MA, followed by her Funeral Mass at Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption on Second Street, Fall River, MA. Interment will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
