Dennis "DJ" Roque, Jr.

Dennis “DJ” Roque Jr., age 37 of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, following a courageous battle with a heart condition. Born in Fall River on June 23, 1989, DJ was the beloved son of Elizabeth Roque of Fall River and Dennis Roque Sr. of Swansea.

    DJ is survived by his parents; his sisters Victoria Roque and Emma Roque, both of Swansea; his paternal grandparents Luis and Berta Roque of Fall River; his maternal grandfather Luciano Medeiros of Fall River; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Dinasalia “Dina” Medeiros and his cousin Chantel Marie “Big Red” Gould.

    DJ was a big teddy bear with an even bigger heart. He loved his music, he loved his dogs, and he loved people, strangers included. If someone needed a hand, DJ gave it, no questions asked and nothing expected back. He carried his cousin Chantel with him always, naming his dog “Red” in her honor so that a piece of her stayed close. But of all his dogs, none held his heart like Luna, the faithful companion who went everywhere with him and whose loss he felt deeply.

    Above all, DJ loved his mother. Theirs was a bond that everyone around them could see. She was his constant, through every chapter of his life and every hard day, and he knew it. He often spoke of all she had done for him, and he never let the thanks go unsaid. He will be missed deeply by all those who loved him.

    His visitation will be held Saturday, October 24th, 2026, from 7 - 9 AM at the Oliveira Funeral Home, South Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at Santo Christo Church, Columbia St., Fall River. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
