Deodato C. Martins

Deodato C. Martins, 71, of Fall River, passed away June 7, 2023, at Massachusetts General Hospital, in Boston.

He was the former husband of Maria (Batista) Martins.

Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel Martins and Ofelia (Ponte) Martins.

Prior to retiring, Deodato worked as a chef at the former Academica, in Fall River, and was a member of Fall River Sports and a member of Acamendica. He was an avid Sporting FC fan and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

Along with his former wife, he is survived by his children: Solange Martins, of Revere, Paul Martins, of Somerville, Deodato Martins, Jr., of Somerville, and Kelsey Martins, of Fall River; his brother John Martins, of Fall River; many siblings in Canada and the Azores and several grandchildren.

His funeral services will be private.
