Dialina "Del" Furtado

Dialina "Del" (Trindade) Furtado, 88, of Fall River, died Wednesday at Southpointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center. She was the wife of the late Antone P. Furtado.
Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Diogo and Laura (Cordeiro) Trindade; she was a lifelong resident of Fall River. She was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1945. She worked as a machine operator for several years at the former Arkay Pants Mfg.
She enjoyed photography and traveling. Mrs. Furtado was a former photographer for the Fall River Tribune and Spectator papers. Sh was a former volunteer at St. Anne's Hospital and a communicant of Santo Christo Church.
She is survived by three brothers, David Trindade (wife Beverly) of California, Edmond Trindade (wife Grace) of North Carolina and Irenieu C. "Duke" Trindade (wife Pauline) of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Palmira Dominion.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 6-8 p.m. www.oliveirafuneralhomes.com
