Diane (Zitano) Thompson

Diane (Zitano) Thompson, 78, of Fall River, passed away peacefully, January 20th, 2024, at Country Gardens Health and Rehabilitation, in Swansea.

She was the widow of the late Wade Thompson.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late James Zitano and Hilda (Rapoza) Zitano.

Prior to retiring, Diane worked for most of her career as a bartender. Diane loved the ocean, sun bathing, cooking, shopping, and playing bingo. She was a very loving and giving person, who always took care of others.

Diane is survived by her daughter Robin Thompson; her brother James W. Zitano (wife Beverly); her grandchildren Joshua, Raven, and Tyson, Jr.; her great grandchildren Joshua, Jayden, Aurora, Chloe, Bella, and Jayden; her godson James Zitano, Jr., and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Tyson Thompson and the sister of the late Daniel Zitano..

A visitation will be held Monday, January 29, from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM, from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Santo Christo Church. Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
