Dimas A. Botelho

FALL RIVER… Dimas A. Botelho, 61, of Fall River passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River.
He was the husband of Maria Diamantina (Pereira) Botelho to whom he was married for 39 years.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Fortunado and Gloria (Travasos) Botelho. He had moved to Fall River in 1979.
Mr. Botelho was active throughout Fall River, having run many soccer teams and did fundraising for a new soccer field. He was part owner of the former Athletics Club and was a member of Lindo's Bar. He enjoyed watching soccer, but above all spending time with his beloved family.
Along with his wife, survivors include is sons; Derek Botelho of Fall River and Jeff Botelho of Taunton, his grandchildren, Cameron, Shania & Scarlet, 3 brothers, 1 sister, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday, Oct. 23, 2017 at 11 AM at Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA 02721. Interment will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Monday from 9-11 AM, prior to the service.
