Dimas A. Pavao

TIVERTON…Dimas A. Pavao, 70, of Tiverton passed away August 1, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.

He was the husband of Lucia (Santos) Pavao.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Manuel and Odelia (Santos) Pavao.

Mr. Pavao was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Corrections officer at MCI-Cedar Junction (formerly MCI-Walpole) for 30 years before his retirement in 2005. He graduated from B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River and Johnson & Wales University with an Associate’s Degree and enjoyed fishing, reading and spending time with his wife, working in their garden.

Along with his wife, survivors include his children: Dimas A. Pavao, Jr. of Newport & Lindsay Cambra of Plano, TX; his grandchildren: Jordan Pavao, Alayna Pavao, Brody Cambra & Samuel Cambra; his sister: Ann Medeiros of Tiverton; several nieces and nephews.
