Dinarte Corvelo Raposo, age 68, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away on October 6, 2026.
He was the beloved husband of Alina (Costa) Raposo.
Born in the Azores, he was the son of the late Joao Raposo and the late Alda (Corvelo).
Dinarte spent his career working as a painter. He was a former member of the SCA club, where he was a talented accordion player known for playing Portuguese folklore music. A simple man who loved helping others, he spent much of his free time in his basement tinkering and fixing accordions, small engines, and electronics. He was also a passionate soccer fan and proudly cheered for Porto.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children, Nuno Miguel Raposo and his wife Jade, and Diana Carina Bulhoes-Medeiros and her husband Nicholas. He also leaves behind his eight grandchildren, Alexia, Ethan, Kaleb, Levi, Isabella, Jordan, Jonah, and Janeé; one great-grandchild on the way; his siblings, Zelia, Emanuel, Luisa, Maria, Patricia, Natasha, Paulinha, and Lucy; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Joao and Carlos.
His visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM at Oliveira Funeral Home, South Main Street Chapel, 2064 South Main Street, Fall River. A Catholic prayer service will be held in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River.
