Doreen R. Roy

Doreen R. Roy, 55, of Fall River, died Friday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Jose A. Gonsalves.

Born in Fall River, MA; a daughter of the late Edward and Marie Eva (Broulette) Roy.

Doreen worked as a sewing machine operator in the local curtain industry.

She is survived by 5 daughters, Mellissa Pacheco of North Carolina; Angel DeSousa, Theresa Viveiros, Charlotte Roy and Valerie Roy all of Fall River, MA; 5 sisters, Gloria Pickens, of Taunton, MA; Ruth Ferreira of Dartmouth, MA; Denise Dyer and Gail Roy both of Fall River, MA; Pauline Tetrault, a brother, Henry Roy and 9 grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Theresa Roy.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home 2064 South Main St. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 6 - 8 p.m.
