Dorothy A. Raposa

Dorothy A. (Sardinta) Raposa, 78, of Westport, a homemaker, passed away Tuesday suddenly at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of James Raposa.

Born in Portsmouth, RI, she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Portina (Souza) Sardinta; she lived in Westport since 1966. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and her many felines.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Carol A. Raposa-Farias (Husband Wayne J. Farias) and Lisa M. Raposa, all of Westport; two sons, James Raposa, Jr. of Fall River and Kenneth V. Raposa of Westport; a sister, Evelyn Brittany of South Carolina; two brothers, Manuel Sardinta of New York and Edward Sardinta of Colorado; a grandson, Jordan James Farias; a great-grandson, James Thomas Farias; two step-grandchildren, Amanda and Jennifer Farias; and several nieces and nephews.
