Dorothy Souza

Dorothy (Souza) Souza, 88, of Fall River, died Thursday at home. She was the wife of the late Manuel Souza.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph C. and Helen (Rybczynski) Souza, she was a lifelong resident of this city.

Mrs. Souza worked as a special machine operator at the former Royal Garment, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Good Shepherd Parish.

She is survived by a son, Anthony Souza of Fall River and his companion Maria Manchester; a brother, Joseph Souza, Jr. of Fall River; a grandson, Anthony Carvalho; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Martin and Alex Martel; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James Souza.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Good Shepherd Parish. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 7 - 9 p.m.
