Edmund C. Ferreira

Edmund Charles Ferreira, age 84, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away on September 23, 2026.

    Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Edmund Ferreira and the late Anna (Palmieri) Ferreira.

    He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Edmund was a graduate of Somerset High School, Class of 1960, and Providence College, Class of 1964, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He spent his career working as the General Manager for Fall River & New Bedford Express for 19 years, and later as the Director of Marketing at BGL Associates for 22 years. He was also a member of the Elks Club of Fall River.

    In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf and was a devoted New England sports fan, always cheering on the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins. His greatest joy was spending quality time with his close friends and watching his grandsons play sports, rarely missing a game.

    He is survived by his son, Andrew C. Ferreira, and his wife Lindsay of Plainville; two grandchildren, Zachary Ferreira and Devin Ferreira; as well as his close friends, Tommy Cabral, Gary Simons, and Rene Desmarais. He was preceded in death by his close friend, the late Ward Barlow.

    Funeral services and interment will be private.

    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jimmy Fund or the VA in his honor.
