PROVIDENCE, RI…. Edward Aguiar, 55, of Dickinson St., Fall River, a retired union laborer, died Saturday, Sept. 10th at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the husband of Shirley (Wordell) Aguiar.
Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late Manuel Aguiar, Jr. and Dorothy (Moniz) Aguiar; he lived most of his life in Fall River. Mr. Aguiar was a member of Insulators Local 6 in Boston.
Besides his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Bonnie Wordell, Starr Roberts, Ivy Roberts, Trinity Aguiar and Skyla Aguiar, all of Fall River; two sons, Bruce Roberts and Edward Aguiar, Jr., both of Fall River; three grandchildren, Issac Sullivan, Caiden Sullivan and Emilee Cote. He was the brother of the late Manuel Aguiar and George Aguiar.
His Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 24th at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church, 228 North Main St., Fall River, MA, with a reception to follow in Church Fellowship Hall. Relatives and friends invited. Calling hours are omitted. Cremation services are by the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St.
