Elsie Aguiar

Elsie (Medeiros) Aguiar, 91, of Tiverton, RI, a retired garment worker, died Tuesday at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Leonard Aguiar.
Born in Portsmouth, RI, she was a daughter of the late Manuel R. Medeiros, Sr. and Maria da Luz (Costa) Medeiros; she lived most of her life in Tiverton and was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church. Mrs. Aguiar worked as a machine operator in the local garment industry.
She is survived by a daughter, Eileen Aguiar of Tiverton; a sister, Louise Resendes of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel R. Medeiros, Jr., Antone R. Medeiros, Mary Medeiros and David Medeiros.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton. Committal prayers and interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours Friday 4-8 p.m.
