Evelyn (Rua) Moniz

Evelyn (Rua) Moniz, 98, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Clifton Rehabilitation and Nursing, in Somerset.

She was the widow of the late Manuel Moniz.

Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Manuel S. Rua and Mary (Silvia) Rua.

Prior to retiring, Evelyn worked for most of her career as a seamstress in the local garment industry. She was a faithful communicant of St. John of God Church and the most important things to her were her religion and her family.

She is survived by hef sons Steve Moniz, of Rehoboth, and Robert Moniz, of Florida, her brother John Rua, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her children Michael Moniz and Susanne Medeiros, and several siblings.
