Everett R. Cabral, 89, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away on October 12, 2025, at home, surrounded by his family.

    He was the beloved husband of Edith (Camara) Cabral, with whom he shared over 69 years of marriage.

    Born in Bronx, New York, on February 18, 1936, he was the son of the late Everett Cabral, Sr. and Anna (Aguiar) Cabral.

    A skilled carpenter and cabinet maker by trade, Everett proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed playing soccer and softball in his younger years and was a passionate golfer and a dedicated Baltimore Orioles fan. Everett also officiated for high school and college women's softball, and was privileged to work at several college festival events as an umpire. He was a member of several local clubs, including the Liberal Club and the Montaup Country Club.

    He is survived by his wife, Edith; two sons, Richard Cabral (Debra Rodrigues) and David Cabral; his sister, Barbara Audet; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Debra Nogueira, and his siblings, Joan Carlton and Robert Cabral.

    A visitation will be held Friday October 17th from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Oliveira Funeral Home, South Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main St., in Fall River. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Parish. Burial will be private.
