Francisco B. Sousa

Francisco B. Sousa, 91, of Fall River, passed away Monday at home. He was the husband of Belmira (Botelho) Sousa.

Born in Pedreira do Nordeste, St. Michael, Azores; a son of the late Joao Bernard and Maria (Nasscimento) Sousa, he resided in Fall River for the past 35 years.

Mr. Sousa had worked as a polisher for many years.

Besides his wife of 65 years, he is survived by a daughter, Maria O. Cordeiro (husband Antonio) of Fall River; 2 sisters, Maria Conceicao Sousa of Canada and Maria Joana Cabral of St. Michael, Azores; 3 grandsons, Kevin Cordeiro, Derek Cordeiro and Tony Cordeiro.

His funeral will be held on Thursday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home 215 Columbia St. followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Santo Christo Church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 5 - 8 p.m.
