Gale M. Gariepy

Gale Marie (Freitas) Gariepy, 58 of Fall River, passed away at Saint Anne’s Hospital on Sunday June 9, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of David Gariepy. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Antone and Evangelina (Moniz) Freitas. Besides her beloved husband of 40 years, she was the mother of David Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Fall River, and Denyelle Gariepy and her boyfriend Christopher of Somerset. She was the grandmother of Julianne and Josephine and had two step grandchildren Nicholas and Serena. She had many grandpets. She was the sister of Cheryl Freitas of Cranston RI and loving family friend, Patricia Lonardo of Cranston RI. She loved her friends, cousins and family. Gale volunteered at the former Saints Peter and Paul School watching her children and their friends grow. She enjoyed watching the Patriots, crocheting and reading.
Funeral to which relatives and friends ae invited will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 8 AM at Oliveira Funeral Home 215 Columbia St. Fall River, MA 02721 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 AM at Espirito Santo Church, Alden St. Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held Monday from 6 – 8 PM.
