George J. Vallee

George J. "Jerry" Vallee, 71, of Westport, MA, a contractor and musician, died Saturday, January 2, 2016. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Covel) Vallee.
Born in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late George R. and Francelina (Correira) Vallee; he lived in Westport since 1968. Mr. Vallee owned and operated Vallee & Son Construction Co. A talented and well known musician, he was a member and leader of various bands including the Santo Christo Marching Band, The Galaxies, The Spidells, The Royal Coachman, Talk of the Town and Klas Band.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kerri L. Lima (husband Mark M. Lima) of Cape Coral, FL; two grandchildren, Logan C. Vallee and Peyton A. Vallee; three step-grandchildren, Jullianna, Jocelyn and Marcus Lima; and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Mark A. Vallee. He also leaves his beloved cat Shady, also known as Knuckle Head.
Calling hours for Mr. Vallee will be on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main St. from 5-8 p.m. Relatives and friends invited. Cremation to follow.
