FALL RIVER … Grace (Duarte) Sousa, 40, of Fall River, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016.
She was born in Mosteiros, St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of Maria Lucy (Medeiros) Viegas of Fall River and the late John Duarte; and had lived in Fall River most of her life.
She was a carpenter with the Carpenter's Union in Boston.
Grace enjoyed her dogs, friends and family. She was a very happy person with a good sense of humor and had a big heart.
Survivors include her mother, 3 brothers, Joao M. Duarte and Ilidio Duarte, both of Fall River and Durval Duarte of Portsmouth, RI; 2 sisters, Paula DaSilva and Diamantina "Tina" Amaral, both of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday at 8 AM from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME , 215 COLUMBIA Street, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, 327 Second Street, Fall River. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Prospect St., Fall River. Calling hours will be prior to the Mass.
