Guilherme C. Raposo

FALL RIVER… Guilherme C. Raposo, 82, of Fall River, passed away Monday, December 26, 2022, at Carvalho Grove Nursing & Rehab Center, surrounded by his family.

He was the loving husband of Elvira Raposo.

Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Guilherme Duarte Raposo and Zelia Tomazia Da Costa.

Prior to retiring, Guilherme worked for most of his career at the former Quaker Fabrics, in Fall River. He was a parishioner of Santo Christo Church. He loved watching soccer and was an avid fan of Sporting CP and the Boston Red Sox.

Along with his wife, Guilherme is survived by his sons: Fernando Raposo (wife Sue), Robert Raposo (wife Maria), Antonio Raposo (wife Kathy), Marco Raposo (wife Alison), and Louie Raposo; his daughters: Anabella Raposo and Eduarda Araujo (husband Jose); his brother Manuel Raposo; his sisters: Gilberta Medeiros, Odalia Areias, Mary Resendes, and Julia Branco; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

His Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 5th, at 10:00 AM at Santo Chirsto Church, Columbia St., Fall River. Burial and Committal prayers will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
