Helen L. Mello

Helen Louise Mello, 67, of Fall River, passed away on August 17, 2025.

    She was the beloved husband of Robert “Bob” Mello, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage.

    She was the daughter of the late Alden Tobey Spooner and Shirley (Brownell) Spooner.

    Before her retirement, Helen worked in the dry cleaning business. She was an avid reader who especially enjoyed the novels of Nora Roberts and Danielle Steele. Helen was a passionate collector of Betty Boop, Duck Dynasty, and cat memorabilia. She also enjoyed relaxing with word search and crossword puzzles. Above all, she loved her cats and leaves behind her two cherished babies, Brady and Oscar.

    Helen is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Mello; her siblings, George and Harold “Steve”; her brother-in-law Rick, sister-in-law Roz (late husband Chip), brother-in-law Ran (wife Patty); her nephew Kyle (wife Jess), her niece Jessica; several nieces and nephews.

    She also leaves behind an abundance of dear friends, including Sue & George, Stephanie, Richie, and Michael, among many more.

    Per her wishes, she was cremated and there will be no services.
