Herculano J. Bettencourt

FALL RIVER… Herculano J. Bettencourt, 73, of Fall River passed away August 7, 2022, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, in Brighton.

Born in Faial, he was a son of the late Joao Correia Bettencourt and Maria Belarmina Jorge.

Herculano worked as a machine operator at Jo-Ann Fabrics and several other local textile mills, before retiring. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and being around his family.

He is survived by his son Bruno J. Bettencourt, of Florida; his brothers: Joseph A. Bettencourt, of Fall River, Manuel J. Bettencourt, and Carlos A. Bettencourt, both of Faial; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private.
