Herminia "Minnie" Amaral

Herminia "Minnie" (Cordeiro) Amaral, 98, of Fall River, a homemaker, died Friday at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center. She was the wife of the late Joaquin Amaral.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Antone and Isabel (Raposa) Cordeiro; she was a lifelong resident of Fall River. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo and cards.

She was a communicant of Good Shepherd Parish.

She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Gracia of Somerset, MA, Eileen Saurette and Cynthia White, both of Fall River; two sisters, Josephine Cunha and Adeline Pereira, both of Fall River; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Good Shepherd Parish. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 7-9 p.m.
