Hilda L. Medeiros

Hilda L. Medeiros, 90, of Heatherwood Nursing and Subacute Center, 398 Bellevue Ave., Newport, RI, formerly of Tiverton, died Thursday at the center.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph V. and Maria (Isadore) Medeiros; she lived most of her life in Tiverton and was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church. Ms. Medeiros was a devout catholic, loved her God and church and was a part of the House of Israel and People of God's Love prayer groups.

She is survived by her niece and caretaker, Donna M. Souza of Tiverton, RI; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arthur "Pachook" Medeiros, Frances Camara, Emma De Souto and Dorothy Cordeiro.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton. Interment in Pocasset Hill Cemetery. Visitation morning of funeral 8-9:30 a.m.
