Hilda Medeiros

Hilda (Pavao) Medeiros, 98, of Fall River, a retired sewing machine operator, died Sunday. She was the wife of the late Gil F. Medeiros.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Ernestina (Pacheco) Pavao; she was a lifelong resident of Fall River. Mrs. Medeiros retired from the former Needlecraft Mfg. in 1975. She was a member of the former I.L.G.W.U., now U.N.I.T.E. She was a member of TOPS Chapter 16 in Tiverton.

She is survived by a daughter, Joan E. Hoy (husband Ronald) of Somerset; a son, Paul T. Medeiros (wife Lorraine) of Swansea; two grandchildren, Matthew Medeiros and Karen Megna; and four great-grandchildren. The family would like to acknowledge the staff of the Catholic Memorial Home for the loving care that was provided to Hilda.

Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8:15 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St Margaret Mary Chapel in the Catholic Memorial Home. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
