Ilda Cordeiro

Ilda (Sousa) Cordeiro, 56, of Fall River, died Friday at St. Anne's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jonas Costa Cordeiro.

Born in St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Leonardo and Maria da Conceicao (Medeiros) Sousa; she resided in Fall River for the past 26 years.

Mrs. Cordeiro had worked as a seamstress in the local garment industry.

She is survived by 3 sons, Paul Cordeiro, Enio Cordeiro and Sergio Cordeiro, all of Fall River; a sister, Connie Graca of Fall River; 3 brothers, Carlos Sousa of Westport, Claudio Sousa of Fall River and Jose Antonio Sousa of St. Michael, Azores; several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 215 Columbia St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m.in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 6 - 8 p.m.
