Jacqueline (Souza) Vierling

FALL RIVER… Jacqueline (Souza) Vierling, 80, of Tiverton, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, in Fall River.

See was the widow of the late Bruce L. Vierling.

Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Joseph M. Souza and O’Delia (Medeiros) Souza.

In her younger years, she was employed at Fernandes Supermarket until its closing. Later on, Jacqueline worked as a claims adjuster at Avery-Smith Insurance Agency and then at Paquin Insurance, until her retirement. She was an avid reader and loved crocheting, knitting, and doing crafts.

Jacqueline was the mother of Cheryl Silvia, the very devoted grandmother of Amanda Vierling Robidoux, and the great grandmother of Kylee Rosalyn Furtado and Madison Mae Assad. She was a loving Mom to her deceased pets Schnookums, Scruffles, and her special Shih Tzu Sparky, Jacqueline will be missed by her loving Shih Tzu Ginger Lee. She was her best friend that never left her side and always kept her safe and happy.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 9:00 – 11:00 AM from the Oliveira Funeral Home – South Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM, in the funeral home. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
