FALL RIVER… James E. “Jim” Hangsleben, 77, of Fall River passed away April 12, 2020, at St. Anne’s Hospital.
He was the husband of Kathleen (O’Connors) Hangsleben of Fall River.
Jim was born in Argyle, Minnesota a son of Earl and Eva (Jolie) Hangsleben and had lived in Fall River for over 15 years.
Chief Hangsleben was a Chief Hull Maintenance Technician (E-7) with the U. S. Navy retiring with over 27 years service. He was a Vietnam Veteran. He also enjoyed deer hunting and watching war movies.
Survivors include his widow, 2 sons: James E. Hangsleben, Jr. of Stuttgart, Germany, Timothy M. Hangsleben of Hinesville, GA, a daughter Stacey Anne Spano of Fall River, 3 brothers: Robert Hangsleben, Daivd Hangsleben, Douglas Hangsleben, 3 sisters: Linda Andersen, Mary Weslowski, Debra Hangsleben all of MN, 5 grandchildren: Nicolli, Laken, Kyla, Fallon, Caden, many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Geraldine Olson.
Private burial will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
