Jeffrey "Jeff" Alves

TIVERTON - Jeffrey "Jeff" Alves, 57, of Little Compton, RI, a self-employed plumber, died Friday, January 12th accidentally. He was the former husband of Candy (Grasselli) Alves of Vero Beach, FL.
Born in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Manuel L. and Hilda (Garcia) Alves; he lived in Little Compton for the past 17 years. Mr. Alves owned and operated Jeff Alves Heating & Plumbing and was well known throughout Newport County.
He was a communicant of St. Theresa Church. Jeff was a sports enthusiast. He enjoyed fishing and family gatherings.
Besides his former wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tonya R. Alves of Warwick, RI and her partner Michael Iaciofano; a sister, Lisa C. Alves of North Smithfield, RI and her partner Ronald Lamoureux; two brothers, Ronald M. Alves and his wife Marie C. of Tiverton, RI and Richard Alves and his wife Maria of Tiverton, RI; and a grandson, Michael J. Iaciofano.
His funeral will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 8:45 a.m. from the Oliveira Funeral Home, 2064 South Main Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Stafford Rd., Tiverton. Interment in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Main Road, Tiverton. Calling hours Friday 5-8 p.m.
