John R Benevides

TIVERTON… John R. Benevidies, 88, of Tiverton passed away December 23, 2018.

He was the widower of Elsie (Rego) Benevides.

Mr. Benevides was born in St. Michael, Azores a son of the late Jose’ Benevides Cordeiro and Maria Raposo and had lived in Tiverton for many years.

Mr. Benevides was employed as a machine operator with Plymouth Rubber.

Survivors include 2 daughters: Elaine Benevides of Hamden, CT, Diane B. Diagle and her husband Shannon of East Greenwich, RI a sister Floripes Benevides of Canada, 2 grandchildren: Cameron and Zachary Daigle.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday at 9:00 A.M. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main Street, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Ghost Church, 361 Judson Street, Tiverton, RI. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 - 8 PM.
