John Fred Corvello

John Fred Corvello, 92, of Melbourne, FL, passed away Friday, April 17, 2015. He was the husband of the late Constance (Almeida) Corvello.

He was born March 6, 1923 in Fall River, MA, he was a son of the late John P. and Cecilia (Sousa) Corvello; he had been a resident of Melbourne since 2011, coming from Tiverton, RI. Prior to retirement, Mr. Corvello worked 44 years for Alden Corrugated Box in New Bedford, MA

He was a devout catholic and a member of Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne. He was a former member of Holy Ghost Church in Tiverton and served with the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his son, John D. Corvello and his wife Gail; two sisters, Deolinda Costa and Evelyn Dorsey, both of Melbourne; a brother, Antonio Corvello of Fall River; a granddaughter, Rebecca Corvello of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from the OLIVEIRA FUNERAL HOME, 2064 South Main St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton. Committal prayers and interment of cremains in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 5-8 p.m. at the So. Main St. location.
